Ahhh!  There is no joy like the first sip of the perfect latte!

Having said that, where can one find such a thing?  Well, my absolute favorite Coffee Shop is a place in Janesville, Wisconsin called “Mocha Moment.”  Not your ordinary coffee shop by any means.  Mocha Moment is by definition a place of escape.

Steve & Kathy Dean wanted to create a place of comfort and tranquility that was noticeably absent from the normal commercialization that is found in most coffee shops.  They found the perfect location and built their vision.

“If a man can preach a better sermon, write a better book, or make a better mousetrap than his neighbor, though he build his house in the woods, the world will make a beaten path to his door.”   This quote hangs over the deck door as an inspiration to the opposition that Steve and Kathy Dean received in the planning stages of Mocha Moment.  They were told repeatedly that their vision for Mocha Moment was flawed.  Fortunately, they ignored the critics and built their dream the way they envisioned it.

Once asked what he would take for Mocha Moment... Steve answered, “not a million, not two, nor three... Mocha Moment is a trust that our family has been given for the  benefit and enjoyment of our community. To dump it would be a betrayal of my children, my friends, and my community.”

So, what makes Mocha Moment so special... besides the experience.  It starts with great coffee that is roasted fresh right in the middle of the coffee shop.  Son, Jared is the master coffee roaster and is very meticulous with his science of roasting great coffee.  Kathy runs an absolutely marvelous scratch bakery behind the scenes in the kitchen. 

Steve and the rest of the staff put together the perfect lattes ground fresh, properly pulled and perfectly frothed from latte machines right in front of the customers complete with great conversations during the entire process.  None of those fully automatic... generic machines that most shops use for the Deans!  They make their lattes the old fashion way with a perfect latte in mind for every cup!

Everywhere I go, I always look up the local coffee shops

and test the experience, the feel of the place and most importantly, the coffee drinks that they produce.  In all my travels I have never found any coffee place that comes close to the satisfaction that is found at Mocha Moment.  Customer satisfaction is the absolute priority and it is accomplished in the most enjoyable way at Mocha Moment! 

Mocha Moment is a business that is run with an abundance of integrity, transparency and passion.... much like the folks that own and operate it.  If you truly desire the perfect latte and coffee shop experience... you simply must visit Mocha Moment... where you will find perfection in a cup!
